Welcome from the Pastor
Thank you for taking the time to visit the website of Newtown Bible Church. We are a group of people who both need and are amazed at God’s grace shown to us through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 15:1-4; Rom. 3:9-18; Eph. 2:8-10) and we desire to reflect our love and commitment to Him in all we do (John 14:15). It is for this reason “we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake” (2 Cor. 4:5).
 
I hope that as you take the time to review our doctrinal statement, listen to a message, explore our resources, check upcoming events, or if you just want to know more about Jesus Christ, that you will find this site helpful.
 
We would love the opportunity to serve you and answer any questions you may have about Jesus Christ, the gospel, or our church family. Please, do not hesitate to give us a call, write a letter, or to come visit and worship the “Lord of glory” (1 Cor. 2:8) with us at Newtown Bible Church.

Sunday School: This week Sunday School will be taught by Pastor Tim Malvaso, Georgetown Bible Church. 
 
Sunday Morning:  TBA / Communion. Pastor Tim Malvaso will be preaching. 
 
 
Family Bible Hour: Please join us immediately following the morning service for a time of food and fellowship. There will be no evening service.

Coming Events

 The next Men's Study is March 13th. In preparation the men are to read John 13-17 and the small booklet, "Pride and Humility" by Stuart Scott. We will then cover John 13 and consider the example of Christ and the application of servant leadership.  

Evening Service: we will resume our study of the book of Daniel, beginning March 14th

Current Teaching:

 

Sunday School: We will continue our consideration of the question: "What is the atonement?" Further questions for study will include: "For whom did Christ die?" "Is there a discrepancy between the intention of Christ in dying and the will of the Father and Holy Spirit in electing and regenerating?" "How does election and atonement fit with John 3:16, 1 John 2:2, and 1 Timothy 4:10?"

Our Purpose
We exist to glorify God, through Jesus Christ, by the preaching of His God-breathed Word so that believers are sanctified (made more like Christ), sinners are saved (brought into relationship with God through Christ), and Christ-centered fellowship (mutual enjoyment of Christ) and ministry would produce lives captured with the single passion of knowing and serving Jesus Christ.
